The Sixth International Congress of Morita Therapy
Congress Theme
Future of Morita Therapy:
Multidimensional Understanding and Application of Morita Therapy
You are cordially invited to participate in the Sixth International Congress of Morita Therapy to take place on August 24 and 25, 2007, at the University of British Columbia, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This Congress is sponsored by the Japanese Society for Morita Therapy
Mission Statement
Morita therapy is a Japanese therapeutic system and a mental health approach, founded by Dr. Shoma Morita (1874-1938) and further developed by his successors and members of the Japanese Society for Morita Therapy.
Participants of this Congress will gather based on their common interest in the theory, practice, and research of Morita therapy and/or its application to a broader scope of mental health and human services and educational practices.
The purpose of this Congress is to facilitate dialogue and exchange of ideas and information among practitioners, theorists, educators, and researchers who are in various areas of health and social sciences, such as: psychiatry, medicine, clinical psychology, counselling psychology, school education, human services, professional training, public health education, nursing, self-help and support groups. It is hoped that this Congress will yield a clearer vision of the future of Morita therapy and articulate critical issues to be addressed by Morita therapists and researchers.
